I dream of stampin'

I woke up this morning and just HAD to make THIS card. A little strange, I know, but inspiration can come from anywhere!

I used Whisper White as the base and Bashful Blue DSP for the torn pieces. I pulled out the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up my *frame* using Bashful Blue ink and one of the flowers from the Itty Bitty Buds set. This is where it got a little tricky and a hobby knife would have come in VERY handy (I used scissors since I don't have one). I cut the frame out and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. The sentiment is from Friends 24/7 stamped in Bashful Blue. I also added a little dot of glitter in the center of each flower. Add a little Whisper White ribbon and voila!

Easter Egg cards

I just LOVE the way these turned out!
I first cut out a template for the Easter egg by folding a 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" piece of cardstock in half lengthwise and freehanding an Easter egg shape. Then I traced it onto Bashful Blue and Whisper White and cut them out. You can't really see it in the picture, but I sponged the Bashful Blue egg with Bashful Blue ink. Then I cut the egg with a jagged line (like a broken eggshell) and adhered the bottom half of the egg to the Whisper White egg, lining up the edges. I placed the top half on the Whisper White, lining it up with the bottom and used the paper piercer to poke my hole for the brad on the side so that it swings open. I finished by embellishing my card with a Scallop Circle Punch of Delicate Dots DSP, a circle of Bashful Blue CS and a Sahara Sand stamped deer from Forest Friends on Whisper White. I added a little Bashful Blue flower from Flower Fusion and another Vintage Brad to the Scallop Circle then adhered them to the egg. I made sure I only adhered the scallop to the top half of the egg so that it would still swing open. Each one opens to reveal a Happy Easter greeting!

My first attempts at scrapbooking!

And they turned out cute! I used 6x6 pieces of the pink flower design from Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper, Flower Fusion in Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip, and Vintage Brads. For my journaling, I used the Scallop Edge Punch and the Scallop Circle Punch and the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker. The pictures are from a day at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Virginia and are of my daughter, Abby, and some pretty cherry blossoms (not as pretty as Abby though!). I think they turned out great!

Great Friends and a Walk in the Park

Ohhhhh! The Occassions mini catalog came out today and there is SO many *pretties!* in it! I used the Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper and the Great Friend stamp set to create this all occasions card.

I used a base of Whisper White cardstock then layered Going Gray cardstock and two strips of Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper on top of it. I used a thin piece of Basic Gray cardstock over the seam between the two strips of designer series paper. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray and the butterfly in VersaMark which I then colored over using Stampin' Pastels on Whisper White. I layered that on Going Gray card stock and adhered with dimensionals. Last I added a brad at each corner and a mini library clip for a little shine!
